Naval Station Norfolk traffic patterns and gate changes for the holidays

As the holidays approach, make note of the gate operations and traffic pattern changes at Naval Station Norfolk beginning Nov. 27.

Gates 3A, 5, and 22 will remain open 24/7 during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holiday periods.

The following gates will be closed for all traffic as indicated below:

A. Gates 1, 2, and 4; Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. to Dec. 2 at 5 a.m.

B. Gates 1, 2, and 4; Dec. 23 at 5 p.m. to Dec. 27 at 5 a.m.

C. Gates 1, 2, and 4; Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. to Jan. 3 at 5 a.m.

Gates 3, 6, and 10 will remain closed for all vehicle traffic.

During the holiday period, Naval Station Norfolk will continually assess traffic flow and make necessary adjustments, as required.
