Registration is still open for free Back-to-School backpacks

VIRGINIA BEACH

Kids can register for a free backpack filled with school supplies. The limited number of backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to school aged children in grades K-12 from military families in all five uniformed services E-1 through E-6 only. Plan to register early! These backpacks will be distributed at the Armed Forces Funfest: A Salute to Military Families (AFFF) at Sulinski Field on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLCFS), Aug. 5 from 3 - 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all active duty military families from all branches of military service.
